Steve,

I'm new to the site and just read through your post. I have a 67 bowrider and I'm in the middle of doing the transom over. I removed a good section of the rear portion of the cap pretty easily. Yes, it is epoxied on and rivited too but once you drill the rivits it seems to come apart with some persuasion. I'm not sure about taking the entire cap off though.
