water problem
Has anyone had a problem with water getting into their bilge from the front fish box .if so is there a product I can use to seal it off 5200 did not do the job it just peeled right out. Now I have a gap from inside the box to the bottom of the deck was hoping to use a foam spray but not sure if it will be a watertite seal

Re: water problem
If the 5200 "peeled", my guess is either you have a lot of movement between the deck and the box or the surface was not clean. Check for movement, and try a more silicone based sealer for flexibility.
Personally, I would use the spray foam as a last resort. |

Re: water problem
My 18 had that issue, the thru hull tube became loose, I would not mess with it and have a new brass thru hull put in, there cheap just need to find somebody with a flaring tool.

Re: water problem
I drilled inside my fish box with a hole saw to gain access to the thru hull fitting from the inside. I found a very old and cracked piece of black rubber hose and some really scary looking hose clamps. I converted the thru hull for use with a wash down pump and trimmed out the hole with an access hatch.
