Hey Chuck everything is really coming along great! Are you adding a hinge to the bait tank hatch? One thing I would add are hose drains for the transom rod holders to keep the water off all the rigging. I had a problem in my Seavee, contender, whitewater with water corrosion coming through the rod holders just a thought . cant wait to see her sitting in the water! I am really impressed with your skills.

Strick, Beautiful!! Really a super 20! Now tell the horse's to take a month and just chill...don't get sick,just eat grass and be cool,so you can hook that boat up to the truck and slip on down here for a little live baiting sails.The bite is on and that would be a cool little two man sailfish killer!

I think I will put in 2 drains for the rod holders in the transom. I have one left over so I'll have to order another one. I will leave the bait tank lid removable. I bought the battery switch holder from Svendsens marine in Almeda, Ca but I don't know who makes it. There are no markings on the part that I can see. Doing the final touches with the wiring and rigging this weekend. Joey how about I tow the rig to Baja and you fly down there and we fish

After nearly a year and a half since this project started I was finally able to splash the boat this weekend.

The motor fired right up.....once I remembered to put in the kill switch lanyard Thanks Big for the help on that one!

Bigshrimpin met Lisa myself and the kids at a local launch that is protected from the heavy winds we have been experiencing over the past several days. I'm a little superstitious so I had to christen the dam thing before it even touched the water. I did not have the courage to smash the cheap 10 dollar bottle of champagne on my nice new paint job;



I poured a little on the top of the bow;



Then I was told that I had to actually spray the champagne on the hull;

The weather was not all that great for boating but Tim and I ran the little skiff up and down the slough a few times. The Yamaha 130 has lots of power. Two guys and 35 gallons of fuel got us nearly 42mph via the gps. The boat turns on a dime and is very stable. Everything is working properly and I cant be happier with the way things have turned out. I have a little tweaking to do with the prop, some upholstery to do yet and maybe a t-top down the road but other then that it's pretty much a done deal.

What a boat and what a ride!! I still amazed how stable she is at rest . . . 6200rpm 42mph with a stock aluminum prop . . . no bow rise or stern squat getting up on a plane.
