Late 90’s WhiteWater 28
Anyone have any experience? Actually may be missing an unmolested 2006 with twin ‘06 hpdi 200’s. 1150 hours. Original four fuel cells. I like the boat but have never fished one. Any insight? Thanks.

I have not run a 28 Whitewater but I'd say folks rank them just below Conch 27's in the sub 30' range. I guess Onslow Bays now in that category as well. Plenty of experience in hpdi's that age and those have tons of life left in them. Fantastic motors.

I have fished a few WW28's, what is the transom config? Bracket or notched transom/shroud? They run great into a head sea, fast and efficient with twins, should be in the 2MPG range at cruise and top out in the mid-high 50's(mph) at WOT. tons of storage and Livewell capacity depending on how it was rigged/ordered. The only downside I have ever seen with them, as they are long and narrow, is you need to be mindful in a steep following sea. The folks that I know that have them own them for a long time, many having been re-powered multiple times. Also the owner(s) of the company, Norm and Cindy are good folks, not sure I have ever heard a bad thing about them or their boats honestly.

Thank you guys. How are you Jason? Waiting to hear back from owner, may have sold over the weekend. It’s advertised on THT about page 3. Looks like a nice boat, just have never fished one.

The notched hull 28 is much better balanced overall. My only concern with the bracket hull would be hanging heavy 4 strokes on it. Good riding boat though.

Thanks Ken. At $82k would you be considering Connors 25, bracket and single large outboard? Maybe an upper station?

I believe this 2006 is not a notched.

I would say putting a bracket on a 25 is a big mistake due to how weight distributed, deadrise and beam. If it were me I would reconfigure the gunnels and notch the transom for a 30" big single outboard. Pay attention to what Dirtwheels is doing with the 25 he has now.

Is this the idea with the notched 28? I saw this at Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove. Those are 150s! Awesome boat for balance as Kmoose stated. Ditto on the no go on the 25 Seafari bracket.

Thanks guys. It has sold.
Headed to Hernando Beach tomorrow. Plan to be there through New Year, close of Grouper season, except a week of deer hunting after Election Day. I’ll keep fishing the Master Angler until then. Vezo |
