Default Platform or Ladder?

Gents: which do you find easier to use for getting into the boat - a dive ladder or swim platform with ladder extension?

If you ever dive/snorkel this is the way to go if you have fins on. Many companies make them, however storage is it's downfall. You've been up and down the one I have on my boat in the Bahamas.

By far the best dive ladders in the business. Been using these in every commercial dive boat I’ve shot on as well as my own sled.

For getting on the boat, what kmoose linked to is the cats meow, especially if you are wearing tanks. If you have other needs, a platform can be much more useful. Both is best if you can figure out how to install it. Personally, I'm freediving, and using my big platform as storage and back porch. I've figured out how to get on and off the platform easily without a ladder.

If you don't have an outboard bracket, I prefer a platform with a ladder. In addition to using it to get back in the boat, it makes a pretty good "outhouse".

I put this for sale a while ago and the guy who wanted it never showed up. Birdsall platform with a Windline ladder. Worked great for diving and getting in and out of the water. Came off my 23’ when I enclosed the transom. Great shape.
