Rookie questions about my boat

I purchased a 1968 19ft Moesly from a fellow board member and just making lists of what I would like to do and need to do. I have read most of the restoration threads but hoping someone might be able to shed a little light on the particulars that I am struggling with.

My particular boat has some history here on the forums as it was restored to some degree some time ago and may have started life as a bow rider. It's configuration has probably changed although there was some discussion that maybe it was just an early CC. Either way I am pretty certain the configuration has changed over time to some extent especially in the transom area of which I have another thread on.

In hindsight, I probably should have started with this thread and I ask for your patience but welcome your expertise.

The first two pictures below are my boat, the third are from Oldboat's restoration thread as I work to compare. I have also read several threads with members asking about pulling the liner vs replacing the floor. All Seacraft have liners, and are two or three piece? I thought that 3 piece boats were the #1 hull, #2 liner and #3 cap? So in my picture of the front, in theory it appears as though if you were strong enough you could turn the boat over and shake out the liner including the cap?

The second picture is trying to visualize if you needed to replace the floor (it needs a new fuel tank and concerned with some of the softer spots it may require more work than I thought) how would you cut it out and work to replace it? On some threads it appears as though some cut along the green line while other did the yellow line. I am unsure why they chose one or the other? In Oldboat's work, (picture 3) it appears he cut along the yellow line. In short, I am just trying to get a clear idea of how my boat is actually constructed because it has been changed so much. The closed transom and live well are neat but also obscure what exactly it looks like underneath. I used an endoscope to look through the sides of the fish box in front to try and get an idea. I saw big globs of yellowed foam on either side which I was a little surprised to see but again may be exactly how it should be.

I really do appreciate the education and apologize for my ignorance on some of this. I have done my best to search the forums for information and specifics.

Alright! Another Great Lakes SeaCraft. Congratulations! I am 100% a rookie too but I’m betting the higher cut in your 3rd picture is because of the raised casting platform at the bow of the CC’s. Also, are you sure there is still an inner liner? If it was originally a bow rider the liner may be gone(?)

Look up under the cap and youll be able to see if it still has the liner, itll be screwed or thrubolted. If cutting the floor out, come in from the hullsides a few inches with your cut so you still have that horizontal surface to tab back into.

And absolutely cut the biggest openings you can manage for access in that stern bulkhead!

Under the cap appears to be strips of wood glued or screwed to the cap in places. In other words, the pieces of wood seem to be where the rod holders are etc. I don’t see any bolts or screws but I will take some pictures to show what I mean. Thanks for the guidance on the floor. For the fuel tank, it appears there is just a small hole where the fill line etc comes out but that’s it. I am just guessing that as I remove everything from the console and finally remove the console, more of the floor will need attention than just where the fuel tank is. Also seems to make sense if I am cutting that much of the floor to replace the tank, maybe makes sense to address the whole thing. Just not sure what structure is actually under the floor as near the hull sides seem to be the softest and I assumed that is where the most support would be.

Attached are pictures I took underneath the cap. Not sure I can tell much, it just appears it is one piece rather than a liner? I don’t see any through bolts or screws other than the screws from the rub rail coming through. Also took a picture of how I imagine you would cut the floor but question the vertical pieces. Are these structural that go down the hull to the other side? I imagine you cut around them as indicated?
