Default 1977 Sceptre, New York

I am auctioning my 1977 Sceptre on ebay this week. I thought the enthusiasts here would like to know and/or participate. Here is the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...STRK:MESELX:IT

P.S. I made a $25 donation this morning. Thanks and good luck!

Unfortunate that you decided to go with an auction as a buddy of mine is looking for this exact boat. Being a looooong way away the auction setting doesn't fit into our plan (buying sight unseen).

Good luck with your sale, I hope you get top dollar.

You've got a week to come check it out and then bid : )
Thanks for your note.

That's a nice looking Sceptre you have... what year?

Its a 79, unrestored fresh water boat.

What does yours have for a drive?

Beautiful looking rig. It's very familiar to me.I sent you a meesage via Ebay but it 's been answered here.I'd like to take a look at it.
Any soft spots in the deck,or engine beds, transom,?

My son lives in Sayville so I'm in long Island quite often, hope to be there in the next two days.Maybe I'll get to check it out.

John 123,

I have brought trailered boats on both the Long Island ferries, to answer your question on ebay. I'd give them a call to check their current policies, though.

Yes, it is a good deal for someone. I hope the boat is well cared for and I will direct the new owner here as I'm sure he could benefit from the resource.

Man, did he get a deal or what? I toyed with buying it just for the trailer and part out what I didn't want. That radar arch/bimini looked SWEET!
