Re: Texas \"Hootie\"
We were really fishing for Flounder using slip sinkers and treble hooks with live shrimp/finger mullet. This one took a live mullet. We ended up with only 2 keeper Reds 23" each,no Flounder, but it was a beautiful day on the Bay. This pic is
"Before Inflation" It had a mug only its mother would love |

Re: Texas \"Hootie\"
Unless it's been beaten recently, the world record leopard puffer fish is 16 lbs 3 oz, caught by my cousin, Bob Joyce, in '73, when he was just 13 years old, off a sea-wall in Lake Park, Florida. We were fishing for snook.
That thing blew up bigger than a basketball when we pulled it out of the water. There was a wildlife officer right there, which is how he got the record. It was mounted and displayed in Herb's Tackle Shop in Lake Worth, Florida for many years. Prior to that, I think the biggest one I had ever seen was about 2 lbs.
