Default yamaha F150 and a 20' seacraft

is a F150 to heavy for a 20' open transom that has been raised? The boat has a 135 optimax on it now.

I ran a 225 hp merc laser and a 200 mariner on mine with now issue. Not sure how the weight compares. I did see a guy in the Keys with a 250 Yamaha that sat a bit low at idle but no issue around 60+MPH.

I have a 2005 4-stroke Yamaha f150 on my 1986 20 CC. Its probably the limit as far as weight goes, but the boat moves well. 40 MPH at 5100 rpms on the GPS.

I had a carbed 6 cyl Yamaha 175, weighed about 419lbs on my 20 with a 25" transom. The boat ran great with it though the engine may have been a little heavy when stopped. Two people in the stern and water would come in the scuppers, but the power was great. It jumped up on a plane almost instantly.
