23 cc fixer upper
OK decided to sell if I can so here it is '78 23 cc needs transom, hatch cover repair 1 small softspot in floor, less than 1 ft radius, console lowerlip needs repair the cap has rotted core material up front above anchor locker and the cleat were ripped off in some rough water and the normal nics and scrapes here and there it comes with a pair of running old omc 150hp motors. I will take 5000.00 no less. There is also a trailer that needs work but is stucturely sound and should get the boat were ever it needs to go. Have more pics if needed. Also a rough t top comes with it that could be cleaned and painted and it would be nice. Would possibly trade for a bay boat.

Re: 23 cc fixer upper
Wow not even a comment. Whats the problem to ugly to high priced or ya'll just don't like Texans? I would consider any offers just would like get enough to buy a running boat I can fish out of, been into fishing/boating about 8 years and up until I got this boat I was able to go anytime I wanted but between the fuel the size of the boat and the need for overhaul I never get to go. Don't really fish offshore the seacraft is just to much boat for me usually fish within 2-4 miles of the boat ramp and in 2 ft of water. Any way so if anyone has any constructive critisism that would aid in the sell of my boat, lets hear it. I forgot it has a 2 bank on board charger new batt switches new batteries washdown pump baitpump 2 bilge pumps bennett tabs Hyd steering and I'll throw in a 3rd 150hp running parts motor.

Re: 23 cc fixer upper
The price is about right. Just be patient. Be sure and place an ad in Boat Trader or Ebay as well. And nothin' against Texan's.
See ya, Ken PS: Tarpun and I drove from Florida to Louisiana to pick up my Secptre. If some one really wants it, they will drive the distance.

Re: 23 cc fixer upper
Scott, say it isn't so. I would refer potential lookers to this website so they can see what the're getting and what a restored Seacraft sells for. Unfortunately, Seacrafts aren't as well known on the Texas coast as they are in Florida. Diluted ospho will get the rust stains and hard water discoloration off the gelcoat pretty quick. Just don't get it on any aluminum. I do some legal work for the guy that builds JH Performance boats. His website is at jhperformanceboats.com (sorry I don't know how to do the computer stuff too well) I don't know if that is what your looking for but I think he sells them from bare hull to turnkey. Last time I was there he had a hull outside that he wasn't happy with. I don't know if it was cosmetic problems or what. Call me at 979-849-7801 about the jackshaft if you change your mind about the boat. I'm afraid with fuel being 3.00 a gallon they're going to kill the recreational boaters. It will probably be higher than that if you buy it at a marina. The last fuel gouging in the 70's had alot to do with my decision to go to law school instead of staying in the family business.

Re: 23 cc fixer upper
Sounds like your priced right. I'd been looking for a 1970's SeaCraft 23' hull until coming across a restored 74' 23 with twin I/O's. Most 20's in the NE area in need of restoration, but barely functional are selling for around 5K. I sold my 1973 20 with trailer 3 years ago for 5.5k. It was in very good shape.

Re: 23 cc fixer upper
ScotHawk,
Why you gotta be so far away? I've been lookin for a project 23 or 20 and have been disapointed with the quality versus the price. I am considering your 23 and doing some math to see how many monies the project can be expected to cost. I will try to get the rough math done this weekend and contact you then for more details. Since I live and play in paradise, one of my concerns is the trailer. Will it make it from there to here with no problems? would you feel safe it it was you towing from here to there? Bearing condition? axles? frame and bunks? Springs? If you can answer those questions, I'd be appreciative. Thanks, BuzzCutt

Re: 23 cc fixer upper
No kiddin' Trayder, I had cold sweats last night, trying
to convince myself I needed the 23 Center to go with the (not yet started yet) Secptre. and the 20SF still under the tarp till it gets into the not yet completed new house and barn. See ya, Ken It is an addiction and sickness [image] you can just make out the SeaCraft house in back.
