Default Steering Wheels

If you had the choice would you go with:

The Edson brand wheel: Made of aluminum, on many of the best boats today. Price: with knob, wheel nut approx $350.00

The "other"wheel: made of cast Stainless also on many top name boats. Price: with knob, wheel nut approx $100.00

Which would you choose? New SeaCrafts have the Edson but $350!!! thats alot of money. and the other brand is Cast Stainless I am guessing this would be stronger. Anyone seen the Other brand before or know who makes it?

Get a Destroyer Wheel!!!! You are resurecting and modernizing an Old War Horse and she needs a wheel that can steer her in Harms Way!!!

I'm kinda sentimental like that....

Either wheel is nice and currently I have the Destroyer wheel looks great but these wheels arent to shabby either...they give you that modern flair.. I've been eyeing up the Edson for a while and then saw the Gemlux but at this point, with my boat, its a little hard to justify the cost.

I think there is a place in Conn ..... Defender marine??? that I've seen the Edson wheel for sale in the $260 range $350 with the knob. I'll have to see if I can find the catalog.

Hey guys-
This is my first post! Glad we finally have a site for these great boats. I have a Release Marine wheel on my 23. Release is here in Savannah, but I found mine at Boaters World in Ft. Lauderdale. You may be able to find one there or get in touch with Release - sorry I don't know their website.
