Default Taking out casting deck on standard height deck SF20

I am toying with the idea of taking out the forward casting deck on a 1969 SF20.

I tried to do a search on this but couldn't find anything without the deck also being raised.

The entire deck on the boat appears original and is in solid shape so I have no intention of raising it. Has anyone taken out the forward casting desk on a SF20 without raising the deck and have any pictures or thoughts?

I am just wondering how the deck is going to meet the liner based on the curve of the hull and if it will be a worth it modification or not. I guess I would loose some forward foot space. I notice that when it gets choppy, I don't go up there much to fish and neither do my buddies there isn't much knee support to brace yourself. It would also be easier to walk around the boat in general and fit coolers and the like in front of the console.

Thoughts?

If anyone is interested in doing this in the future I decided to take one of the forward boxes out. Here is a picture of the deck cut out and I will post a picture of it finished in the future if any owners wanted to add more foot space. I plan to use the old well and fiberglass it between the stringers under the leaning post with a deck hatch so I don’t loose that storage.

I measured exactly where the stringers are and cut the deck out without getting into the stringers for ease of replacement. I
Only continued my cut in the deck to fit a gas tank down there but if you’re just interested in loosing the forward well the cut will be smaller. Lots of unused space down there! Even found a beer can rolling around down there

Sorry the picture came out sideways I’m not sure why that is

Rotate clockwise so "shutter" button is on the left.

upward and downward angles may not yield the proper orientation though.
