Fiberglass Suppliers?
Other than US composites, can anyone recommend some good fiberglass suppliers? I have successfully used US Composites in the past but would like to get some others as I might be buying a LOT of fiberglass for a project a work. Needing 10 oz woven.

I would recommend Merton fiberglass. Very competitive pricing, very fast shipping and stocks just about anything needed to build or repair a boat. Carries high quality resins,cloths,gelcoats,paints, fasteners, foams, etc.
Disclaimer is that he is a friend of mine but he is a great guy to deal with. Like me, most of his customers end up becoming friends with him. He's .A pleasure to deal with and he won't try to sell you something you don't need. I Met him 35 years ago when I was restoring an old wooden boat. He's the guy who told me that I needed a Seacraft. I think it really depends on just how much a LOT is. With fiberglass, I feel like under 200lbs (maybe the threshold is higher) and you're best off trying to find a supplier within and hour or so driving distance and picking it up yourself (provided your time isn't worth $100/hr). That's what I generally do. I pay more per yard or pound, but the savings on shipping are worth it. I've used Merton's and LBI in Connecticut, but I'm located in CT. If your order would more than say 1 roll, you could always call and see what kind of price break they could give you.

I buy everything from either Joel at Gulfstream composites or LBI if I want it right away. Joel knows sea Crafts and materials. He uses what he sells and is really helpful. LBI is good too but you should ask for one of their engineers if you need help. They do a lot of special projects for the sub base in New London.
Gulf Stream sells Raka epoxy which is all I use now.

I use composites one. Minimum order is a 5 gal pail of resin and full rolls of fiberglass products. A roll is about 42" long and around 18" in diameter. Prices are the best I've found but you are ordering in wholesale quantities.
