just curious, I was looking at an older 20 Seacraft with a Yamaha 150 that was only burning 3 gallons per hour at cruise, why do you think your setup burned 3 times as much at cruise? Sure was a beautiful boat, and I like the name!

no 20 seacraft with a yamaha 150 burns 3gph at cruise.
3500 - 4000 rpm burn with a four stroke 150 yamaha is roughly 5 - 7.5 gph depending on load. This newer 21 seacraft is really a 23 hull (minus 2ft) . . . which is a MUCH larger hull than the 20. |

i spoke to the owner of this boat Rick out of Savannah, GA and he reassured me that it burned 3-3.5 gallons per hour at cruise.

3-3.5 MPG at cruise is plausible, 3-3.5 GPH at cruise is about right for a 13' whaler but highly unlikely for a 20' or even 18' Seacraft...
Here is a reference I use for generalized fuel consumption http://www.boat-fuel-economy.com/yam...ion-us-gallons |
