1978 Seacraft Potter CC w/ 2007 250 Evinrude Etec
1978 23 Seacraft CC For Sale- 01/06 Restoration
Fee paid: 0LT59276V52327400. I paid and listed this boat in 8-2012, but now its been repowered and electronics upgraded. Made a new post. For sale is my 1978 Potter built 23 Superfisherman CC with a 2007 250 Evinrude Etec <!!!!!!WITH ONLY 160 HOURS!!!!!!> and a stainless 4 blade prop. BIG PRICE DROP ; EDIT 3-20-2015 NOW ASKING $20,000 OBO!!!!!!!!!!! .......This boat is currently listed with a broker at 27k, but my agreement allows me to sell on my own and I am getting aggressive with the new low price. It was last listed on here last spring for a short period at $24,500 but I will no longer be actively using the boat so I am now truly ready to sell. As of now its only listed on here on my end. Don't want to deal with the nonsense on CL or THT........... The boat had a professionally done, new and raised transom in 2000. The boat was originally yellow with a gray deck when I bought it in 2006.........In 2007, the hull was properly sanded, prepped and sprayed blue with top of the line 2 part paint, new decals and stainless hull outlets added. The interior was stripped, sanded, etc. primed and painted with bright white Awlgrip. The deck was prepped, primed and painted a light shade of tan / beige awlgrip. I stripped the many years and layers of bottom paint through sanding and Peel Away. I added several coats of Interlux Inter-Protect epoxy barrier coat. There were no blisters. All gunwhale and leaning post rod holders were replaced all with stainless Pompanette's, additional holders were added, including two on the bow. Stainless pull-up cleats, and all teak was replaced with white starboard. No soft spots on decks, wood was glassed in underneath to beef up hatches. Stringers checked out all good. The boat has Taco outrigger holders and telescoping poles on the T-top. Also, new Taco rubrail with stainless insert all around. A new aluminum 145 gallon gas tank was custom built and installed in 2007. I pulled out every single wire and added all new including panels, switches and batteries. The boat is now equipped with (3) digital I-Command gauges. The boat has Furuno radar, Furuno color 582L FF, Icom VHF with separate speaker, large screen Northstar 957 GPS and black box depth sounder. Just added a new Jensen Marine stereo with 4 speakers too. It has Sea Star hydraulic steering with a brand new helm, performance wheel with suicide knob. The boat sits on a good 6,500 ?lb / year 2000? Sea Lion (2) axle trailer. Clear rollers, hardware, actuator and stainless brake lines were all added in 2008. A ton of time, effort and cash have gone into this boat, the hull is clean, most components were replaced with new stuff and it is still in good shape. I'm certainly leaving several improvements / items out. I just spent close to $15,000 on the new to me used Etec, updated and flush mounted electronics, etc. in the spring of 2013. Consider this and you will realize that I have priced this boat to sell. I am not desperate but am ready to move on. My new work schedule, along with back issues have me happy with my 17 Whaler in the bay. I no longer have time for two boats. The boat is at my residence just outside of Ocean City, NJ which is about a 15 minute ride south of Atlantic City. GSP exit 25. Title is in hand. My name is John and my number is 609 442 8323, email is [email protected]. I answer calls and texts the best but email will work too. I listed this boat here 2 years ago before the repower and electronics. I listened to offers but instead of selling, I ended up replacing the twin 150s with a single 250 and have been happy with it. I again have decided to move on. I updated and added current pics. John |

Beautiful ride. I have been looking for a 23 with upgraded power for a while now, but don't think I can pull the trigger. GLWS

Thanks a lot for the compliment! Mid to late 20s for best mix of economy and speed. Tops out over 40 but I can only afford that speed in moderation!
