merc 200, new development
just tinkering with my neighbor, we got it started with him holding the throttle open. so i think the situation is isolated to some sort of idling issue or low power issue. is there a simple adjustment to make to fix this? any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: merc 200, new development
i would say see if the carbs are gummed up. they are very easy to take off and clean and put all back together. another forum member and i did his carbs on his 89 150 as he was having an idle issue and it fixed it.
actually if u can get it running with no cowling on it take off the air box and when its running put ur hand over each of the carb opening just for a second to see if fuel pours out of each one. if it does they should be ok. if not u need to take them aapart. but im sure bigshrimpin will have better info for u than that. |
