Default Dolphin Bite

Dolphin bite off Sebastian inlet and Ft. Pierce has been really strong after the recent cold fronts. Good size fish with most over 10 lbs. This past weekend was like a fishing video with multiple hook ups and action lasting all day long.

Came home with 12 in the box and released twice that many - if you fish this area it's time to get out and enjoy the action. You don't have to go far - most action is in 80'-90'. Trolled ballyhoo and live sardines won't last long, these fish are hungry!

HA BACDOC
I HAD A LITTLE OF THE DOLPHIN ACTION DOWN SOUTH AS WELL ON SUNDAY. JUST GOT ONE 15 + POUNDER AND HAD ANOTHER ONE ON. I ALSO GOT ONE KING, ONE SHARK, ONE A.J. AND ONE BONE HEAD. HAD A SAIL HIT BUT LOST HIM. HOW FAR DID YOU HAVE TO GO OUT OF VERO TO HIT THE BLUE WATER UP THERE.

Although I haven't gotten to fish them yet - we get a bit of dolphin bite off Block Island & occasionally Newport, RI.. A few years ago, someone even landed a tarpon of connecticut (but it might just be fishing lore)

JohnR, believe it. Someone got a tarpon here in jersey last year (in the bay no less), I didn't believe it either until I saw a picture of it. And there is plenty of dolphin here too when the offshore waters are warm. I had a big bull spool me this year on light tackle while fishing for albies.
