I suggest you set a date and see what happens. Us New Englanders seem a bit challenged when it comes to committing to these gatherings whereas our southern brethren jump at the chance. In the past the ones that have succeeded around here (Newport a couple years and Barnstable Harbor another) did so because a date was set and people showed up.

As the saying goes, "build it and they will come".

Go the distance. Ref. intended. I am currently selling spots of my youth. Want quahogs? Got #s. Want littlenecks? Check. Want flounder? Easy. Not far from the pilings covered in Mussels.

Please take pics of the Saddle. Make me jealous and homesick. Can you still run buggys on the Neck. So many of you are so close.

Pick a day and ask me how to build a propper clambake. You will need a shovel, a good clam rake, and some old Fred Perrys. There used to be scallops in that estuary... things are fuzzy now.

I know many of our northern brethren are geographically challenged, but this is sad.

1 Pick a place.
2 pick a date.
3 Set a table. Damn, I`m even giving my memories up for y`all.

Pick some mussellls off the pilings and head to Bunny`s pier. Yummy flat fish there.
Just off the edge in the sand.

Stomp around at low tide,
GFS
